Piano concert sponsors a student in Kampala

Funds raised at a termly series of student piano concerts in Chester provide lessons for a young student at the Kampala Music School. Audience members at the concert donate £3 to hear the students perform. At the most recent concert in Chester, the audience were able to hear a recording of Betina playing her violin and hope to be able to continue to sponsor her and hear her music develop.

Student Piano Concert

Saturday 13th March, 2010 @ 2pm
All Saint’s Church, Hoole

The students of Will Hay Piano Tuition get a chance to perform at their termly concert as well as providing a bursary for a student at the Kampala Music School to take piano lessons.

At this concert, details of the recipient of the bursary will be revealed. The piano points cup will also be awarded to the student who has earned the most points through dedicated practise and conscientious study at the piano!

£3 donation per audience member

Talent on the Equator

Claire Hawkes will be giving an illustrated talk entitled “Talent on the Equator”. This will be an inspiring evening looking at the 8 months she spent at Kampala Music School 2007-2008 as Head of Woodwind. The evening will also include a masterclass with St Mary’s pupils and a mini recital with Fred Musoke, Head of Keyboard.

Piano and Cello Recital

Come along to a charity recital of Chopin, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Faure given by Kiggundu Musoke (piano) and Hetty Snell (cello). Taking place at St. John’s , Totnes

Tickets 10 GBP (5 GBP for students and children) in aid of Kampala Music School.
